Airbus A321-200 Registration: N980UY. 14/01/18 - AC 2140 Toronto/Miami B777-200 Registration: C-FIVK. 15/01/18 - KL 1690 Zurich/Amsterdam Embraer ERJ-190 Registration: PH-EZA Flight Crew declared PAN. 15/01/18 - AD 9277 Belo Horizonte/Tovitoria Da Conquesta (Brazil) ATR-72-212A Registration: PR-AQM Flight Crew declared Mayday. 17/01/18 - AA 5957 Phoenix/Dallas Canadair CL-600 Regional Jet CRJ-705 (Mesa Airlines on behalf of American Airlines). 19/01/18 - UA 71 Amsterdam/Newark B767-300 Registration: N644UA Returned to Amsterdam. 24/01/18 - Update from Incident on 24/10/17 LX 425 (Swiss Global Airlines) Avro RJ-100 Registration: HB-IYR Birmingham (UK)/Zurich Crew observed the smell of oil in the cockpit, donned oxygen masks and declared PAN. On January 23rd 2018 - SUST released their summary report concluding: ‘The cause for the development of the smell in the cockpit could not be ascertained with certainty. During two inspections using an aerotracer, however, evidence emerged that the development of the smell could have been caused by the BLEED AIR FROM ENGINE NO. 2. Changing this engine was therefore logical and justified’. 28/01/18 - NK 517 Akron-Canton Ohio/Fort Lauderdale A320-200 Registration: N902NK ‘Below 10,000 feet the Captain depressurised the aircraft. The cabin air improved. The aircraft landed on Fort Lauderdale’s runway 10L about one hour after the first passenger complaint. Emergency services needed to treat flight and cabin crew still onboard. All crew were taken to hospitals. The FAA were notified of the event at 15.17 on 28th January 2018 - 2 hours after landing. The NTSB had still not been informed of the event by the FAA on 30th January 2018. 31/01/18 AA 1965 Charlotte/Punta Cana A330-200 Regustration: N284AY Returned to Charlotte.
