Stop companies like X, Facebook, TikTok, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Samsung, Instagram, LG, and others from using and or selling your personal data to third party companies. It is a violation of your privacy and leaves your personal data open to be exploited. These companies are forcing users to agree to their terms or you cannot use their services. You should have the option to opt out or disagree without being penalized. Just last week, Monday, April 7th, I had an update on my smart LG TV and it was new terms of service stating that they will be using my personal data for A.I. learning and advertising, among other things, so I tried to opt out or disagree and there were no options for those choices, so I backed out of it and thought, ok good, I don't have to agree but, when I tried to use my streaming services ( Max, Netflix, Prime, Peacock, Paramount, Apple TV, Victory +, Pluto, and Tubi,) I couldn't use ANY of these services, THAT I PAY FOR, minus Pluto and Tubi, unless I agreed to my personal data being used. If things stay the same, these companies can map out your life and personal behaviors, In turn, effect your personal decisions and mental state, making a person unaware of the underlying dangers of their personal data being used and sold. The negatives of personal data usage include privacy breaches, security risks, potential for discrimination, and the erosion of individual autonomy. These risks can manifest in various ways, including identity theft, data breaches, and the misuse of information for targeted advertising or profiling.  If we can stop this, your personal data will remain yours, your mental health will improve, no profiling or discrimination, no targeted advertising(there is already so much advertising that it is highly annoying and sickening),hackers will less likely gain access to your personal data and companies will less likely be able to influence your decision making and use it against you as well as being more secure from predators and companies who are violating your privacy rights.
