Stop Commercial Airlines from Operating Deportation Flights

The Issue

Commercial airlines should not be a tool for ICE!

As the Trump Administration continues their reckless immigration crackdown, with little regard to due process or humanitarian concerns, commercial flight crews are being forced into roles of facilitation, and the flying public are becoming unwitting bystanders to this callous process. No airline should participate in separating families or facilitating deportations. Therefore, the four major US carriers – American, Delta, United, and Southwest – should disallow all deportation related bookings.

If the administration was made to rely solely on government planes and charters for deportation, and did not have access to the approximately 30,000 commercial flights operating daily in the US, they would be forced to prioritize violent offenders instead of good-hearted, hard working folks seeking opportunity.

By allowing usage of their fleets, US airlines are accomplices in this increasingly lawless mass deportation effort. With slogans like “Let Good Take Flight", “Good Leads the Way”, and “Good Goes Around”, airlines have a duty to actually do good – to uphold those mottos in the face of potential harm to passengers of all backgrounds. These companies place greed above everything, and will respond if enough of their customers voice concern.

We successfully lobbied the airlines in 2018 to refuse participation in the family separation policy, and we can do it again now with enough public pressure. Visit deICEtheAirlines.org to help stop deportations at US airlines!
