The Issue

With so much publicly known information on cloud seeding and what's being sprayed in the skies above us all, it's time we take a stand and make it stop for good. Let's join our fellow states that have already outlawed this absolutely appalling practice of spraying toxins and heavy metals in our air, poisoning our crops, water, lungs, and families just for the sake of "reflecting the sun's rays".

Cloud seeding has been an ongoing practice for decades, yet its effectiveness remains questionable at best, with no concrete evidence of success. This method involves dispersing substances like silver iodide, intended to modify weather, but instead releases harmful toxins into our environment. These pollutants can contaminate our food supply, waterways, and air, endangering human health and the local ecosystem.

Ohio prides itself on being a state that values its rich natural landscapes and agriculture, and this destructive practice stands in direct opposition to those values. The risks posed by cloud seeding and the lack of federal regulation on the transparency of these operations further emphasize the need for a ban in our state.

It's essential that we protect our environment for future generations and ensure the air we breathe and the food we consume is clean and safe. Multiple states, like Oregon, Florida and Idaho, have already taken the initiative by prohibiting cloud seeding. Ohio must follow suit to preserve the health and safety of its residents.

Let's urge our state leaders to prioritize environmental health over outdated practices that endanger our wellbeing. By taking a stand today, we can shape a healthier tomorrow for Ohio. Please sign this petition to put an end to cloud seeding in our skies.
