We Celebrated Our First Victory - The Fight Is Not Over!

From the very first day we started this petition, so many of you stood beside us. You signed, shared, spoke up, attended meetings, rallied, and never stopped believing in our community and our programs at Kiest.
Yesterday, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the Dallas City Council voted to keep the Dallas Tennis and Education Academy at Kiest Tennis Center until another bid opportunity is finalized. This decision would not have been possible without the incredible support of our entire community and supporters.
Thank you to every family, junior player, adult player, senior player, coach, volunteer, neighbor, and supporter who fought for Kiest. Thank you to those who signed the petition from day one, attended the rally, emailed City Council members, called City Council members, and expressed your support in so many ways. Every email, every phone call, every conversation, and every voice made a difference.
This was truly a community effort and a powerful example of what can be accomplished when people come together to advocate for something they believe in. It demonstrated the power of advocacy, the strength of community, and the importance of civic engagement.
Most importantly, this movement provided a meaningful lesson for the children who participated. They witnessed firsthand that their voices matter and that they can make a difference in their community. As they grow, they will carry these lessons with them and continue to become engaged, productive citizens of society.
Kiest Tennis Center is more than just tennis courts—it is a place where friendships are built, children grow, families come together, and our community thrives.
While our work is not over, today we celebrate what can be accomplished when a community comes together with one voice.
This victory belongs to all of us.
Thank you for standing with us and for believing in the future of Kiest Tennis Center.
