Cheshire East Council are proposing to increase council tax by 9.9%. This is above the current legal limit of 4.99% year on year... 

Cheshire East Council have increased taxes year on year, they have also increased car park charges across the area and have implemented a subscription charge for green waste. All the while reducing and closing public services, including household waste recycling centres. 

Cheshire East has a fast-growing population of over 400,000, with a wide demographic, ranging from some of the wealthiest people in the UK to some of the poorest too. With ever increases in the cost of basic living, disposable income is at an all time low and borrowing is increasing at an alarming rate. 

Cheshire East has for years, wasted money, spending frivolously on incentives, projects, schemes and expenses, with absolutely no gain to the average Cheshire East resident. 

Cheshire East Council continue to poorly manage money and are on the brink of bankruptcy.

Yet Cheshire East Council expects us the Council tax payer to fund their ongoing incompetence, without thought of how costly this will be to a large number of households in the area, thereby openly and knowingly increasing poverty.
