As a member of the Congolese diaspora, I would like to ask the President of DR Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, to reconsider changes to the Congolese constitution.

Our constitution is not even 30 years old, and plans are already being made to change it. Allowing the constitution to be changed on selfish whims will destabilise our country even further.

I ask that the President reconsiders his plans and instead turns his attention towards the genocide in Eastern Congo as M23 rebels continue to move further west into our communities.
