I am horrified that change.org is being hijacked by those who want to defend those who are currently trying to destroy Britain with their racist rioting and anti-foreigner claptrap. Freedom of expression and opinion are crucial to society but we should never tolerate intolerable views. There should be no platform anywhere for racists who hide behind patriotism to spread their odious xenophobic bile.

Change.org have a responsible to take down all petitions whose agenda is to spread division and promote violence, this includes the anti-Labour and anti-immigration petitions currently running that have been created since the awful events in Southport.

There is currently an obvious attempt to undermine the new Labour government because of their perceived more tolerant approach to immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers than the Tories' anti-immigrant rhetoric. Right-wing politicians, media and online influencers are corrupting Britain and are prepared to use every medium, including this platform, to spread their propaganda of hate and division. Instead of blaming the previous Tory government who were actually responsible for allowing immigration to soar they blame 'woke' liberalism and left-wing ideologies.

Many petitions are just covers for xenophobic lies which blame immigrants and anyone else they identify as not being one of their own as enemies. Their narrow, racist, and often sexist and homophobic, definition of what it is to be English or British is poisonous to the cohesion of our diverse society.

Change.org need to be far more scrupulous in their vetting processes and actually read all petitions in full, including any changes made after their acceptance. There should be zero tolerance by change.org for those using petitions to spread racist, xenophobic and fascist intolerance.
