🛑 Stop Censoring Legal Cannabis Education — Hold Meta Accountable! 🛑
The Issue
We demand that Meta (Facebook and Instagram) immediately correct its unjust banning and censorship of accounts that share legal, educational cannabis content—content that is fully allowed under Meta’s own published Community Standards.
We, the undersigned, demand justice.
Meta has repeatedly banned, restricted, and silenced cannabis educators, advocates, and creators—despite those accounts following their own published guidelines on cannabis content. This is more than a moderation mistake. This is a pattern of discriminatory censorship, targeting a growing, legal industry and the communities that support it.
Meta’s Community Standards clearly state that “educational content related to cannabis” is permitted. Yet pages like @CloudCulture710 and countless others have been deleted, shadowbanned, or unjustly flagged—even when no sales or illegal activity occurred.
This is our 7th ban.
And we are not alone.
Cannabis is legal in 38+ states, and the federal landscape is rapidly shifting. Millions of Americans rely on educational cannabis content for medical use, safe access, and harm reduction. These bans not only violate Meta’s own rules—they threaten public health, free speech, and community support systems.
📢 We demand:
Immediate reinstatement of banned accounts that followed guidelines.
Clear and transparent review processes for cannabis-related content.
A published statement acknowledging that educational cannabis content is protected under Meta’s policies.
A meeting between Meta leadership and cannabis industry representatives to develop fair content moderation practices.
The Supreme Court has already ruled that the internet is a modern public square and subject to First Amendment protections. Meta must be held to account.
Sign this petition if you believe:
Cannabis education is not a crime
Big Tech should not silence legal industries
Free speech must apply to ALL legal content creators
Our community deserves a seat at the table
Let’s show Meta the power of our voices.
Let’s demand change.
Let’s take back our platforms.
