The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)'s decision to implement the Optical Scan Machine (OSM) system for checking board examination answer sheets has caused significant distress among students, parents, and educators alike. We urge the authorities to reconsider this decision, which is not in the best interests of fairness or accuracy.

The OSM system, while technologically advanced, does not account for the nuances of handwritten answers, essay-based responses, and subjective interpretations that are inherent in many subjects.
