Why this petition matters

Started by Leigh A Laduke

Hello! I am representing smoke shops, vape shops and other business owners in Fort Oglethope, GA and we have recently been served with paperwork from the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office in regards to the selling of Delta 8. Delta 8 is LEGAL in the state of Georgia due to the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill and Georgia State Bill 213.  We have been told by the sheriff's office that it is illegal, we can't sell it and that our items do not pass lab test. We have multiple lab test(COA"S) for all of our products however they did not want to listen to this. We were also told that Catoosa Co has the ability to test all our products in house. This is a office that does not even have body cameras for their officers. So how do they have million dollar Marijuana testing equipment? They don't. We ask for proof of purchase, we ask for date of purchase, we ask for proof of their testing, we ask for proof they even cam into our shop and they could not and would not provide anything. We have been given until April 30, 2022 to remove all "illegal" items out of our store yet they will not tell us what items they even purchased. So we have a month and 1/2 to still sale what they deem "illegal"?  Sheriff Gary Sisk has compared us to moon shiners, meth dealers and criminals. also we were told people in this county are overdosing on THC!  Delta 8 is medically safe, medically helps, and it's not medically possible to overdose on. Please sign this petition and help us and many other small business owners stop the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office and their bully Tactics.
