In Riverview, we cherish our Sundays. It's the one day where peace prevails, streets aren't dominated by the hustle of St Ignatius college events, construction clamor, garbage collection, or speeding trucks. It's the only day when the normalcy of our quiet neighborhood is restored, and where our children and bicycle riders can safely use the streets. Adding a Sunday bus service loop to our locality would disrupt this precious tranquility.

There are already bus services adequately serving the Riverview area, departing conveniently from the Riverview deli via Yalambee Road. These buses are already sufficient for the needs of the community. Introducing new, unnecessary services would create congestion and raise safety issues without any added benefit.

Countless residents have witnessed the near-empty buses charging through our neighborhood, rising concerns around traffic, diesel polution and safety in this otherwise peaceful vicinity. The proposition to expand the private Sydney bus operator services on a Sunday is overpowering a community voice that has not been consulted and bringing chaos to our roadways.

Our local streets are narrow, and introducing more 20 tonne 70+ capable carrying buses just heightens the risk of accidents involving our children and local cyclists. They deserve to experience a safe environment where they can roam freely without the threat of increased traffic.

We urge the decision-makers to recognize that this expansion is not only unnecessary but will cause more harm than good. Lane Cove councils response is to propose complete parking closure for local residents.

Alternative and existing transport measures are sufficient, and overexpansion would just lead to inefficiencies and disruptions for our neighborhood.

• why not offer like they do in the inner west the ability to book an "on demand" mini bus service, a smaller bus
• It would be cheaper to just subsidised an uber for the 2 or 3 people who may use, versus a 20t huge bus. to a connection 253 or lane cove bus terminal
• Stop the local council putting in 24hr no standing parking signs preventing us from parking outside our houses because of this initiative
• Our streets are too narrow and we have asked for 10years for access to the smaller "ondemand" mini bus service  as offered in other LGA
• it is not fit for purpose to send a 70+ people carrying 20t onne huge capable bus for 2 people use on the weekend
• a waste of money and resources, and not fit for purpose 
• If council need more people to visit the new recreation centre or to offer things to local voters. then this is not the approach?
