Every year the Nevada community is tortured by these "Burners" , most of which have poor manners and do not clean up after themselves . The entire area must suffer these activities and the locals who attend seem to be of similar value most of the time . Art and culture are wonderful to express , but allowing it to happen in a fashion that harms our people like this is unacceptable . The abuse suffered by people at the festival is unacceptable and with the deaths , prices , harassment and actions of this "party" we need to take this dark part of our states history to a close . The dream would be to ban this festival from our state and hopefully ban any such further gatherings in these numbers for frivolous things such as this . Of coarse this is a one step at a time issue and for now just the hope that we could make this illegal here , or even bring awareness to how much of our community does not enjoy having this obnoxious and dangerous event brought into our life each year .
