Stop Bullying

The Issue

I am one of many employees who has experienced harassment and bullying at the hands of someone in a higher authority. For over a year, I have been subjected to this hostile work environment, all the while my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. This is not singular to me - workplace bullying is a widespread problem that demands immediate attention to effect systemic change.

According to a 2017 survey conducted by Workplace Bullying Institute, 19% of Americans have suffered abusive conduct at work. Additionally, 61% of the bullies are bosses, a clear indication of the power dynamics involved. Despite these alarming statistics, the legal landscape often lets perpetrators off the hook, largely due to lack of comprehensive legislation to prevent and penalize workplace bullying.

We call upon companies and organizations to implement strict policies that protect their employees from bullying and harassment, and for legislation to be enacted that holds these entities accountable for their inaction. We demand justice for those employees who have been marginalized and punished for standing up against discrimination and bullying, as I have been. We seek to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace for all employees, regardless of their rank or position.

Your signature will not just mean support for one case, but for thousands of employees who are subjected daily to workplace bullying and harassment and are too afraid to speak out. Let's collaborate to hold companies accountable. Sign the petition.
