Aylesbury, currently has 24/7 manned CCTV. This helps protect the town centre, night time economy and acts as a direct link to the police, for dispatching units or recording vital CCTV evidence.

Under Bucks County Council, beliefs as of 30th September 2023 they are shutting this down. The CCTV will not be manned, Thames Valley Police will no longer monitor the direct radio channel, shops and business use to report crime and help keep the public safe.

The night time economy, Pubs, clubs and takeaways heavily rely on this service. From personally using this resource for over 17 years, it has acted as a major deterrent, helped keep vulnerable people safe, prevented crime and even been used for CPS to take offenders to court. 

We need to act, to let Bucks County Council realise this is a valuable town resource, which shouldn't be cut for them to save money. The safety of our children, adults and businesses are a higher priority than the bureaucrats high salaries and unfavourable visions.
