Today (December 7th), the council announced that 

“We're launching an opportunity for all pitches to start trading from April 2024. The tender process will start in November 2023 and will run until the middle of January “

After been on a pitch in Bristol for 3 years and receiving the new form to reapply to stay on the pitch by increasing my bid by an astonishing amount, it’s clear this seems to be money orientated for the Councils benefit and to my surprise they’re now asking for for a percentage of my Overheads too!

As a small business trader, I find this to be completely outrageous and emphasises that they clearly want the person who bids the most money and the person who will give away the biggest percentage of their profits.

This will affect small business traders who are trying to make a living and it will also push them out if they can not afford to do this.

Immediate action needs to be taken regarding this so the council can not take from traders fighting to stay open and also not stating anything about this publicly.
