Recently, motorists have been modifying halogen headlight casings with after market LED lights. These LED lights are up to 20x brighter than halogen bulbs. This is intensified greatly by the concave mirror in halogen headlight casings. The result is an intense bright light that travels great distances, crosses into ongoing traffic and fills the mirrors of those in front of them. Unfortunately, there are no Federal or TN laws preventing this type of modification. This petition is for Rep. David Kustoff and Rep. Chris Todd to enact legislation to protect TN motorists immediately. These lights are blinding people in TN every night, but there are no laws to protect us from them.
