Stop breeding and objectifying more rabbits!
Dear breeders, or people looking to buy a rabbit.
I am writing this because the message I am trying to get across is that we have enough rabbits in this world. They aren’t disposable creatures that we can replicate for money, meat, fur, and generally treat them like objects: they are magnificent companions, especially when treated well. With dogs and cats, nobody thinks twice about their care: you don’t shove them in cages, hutches or objectify and mass breed them. With rabbits, its the opposite. We can change this in Singapore by only being allowed to breed rabbits in good, healthy conditions and at a moderate amount, and also educating people to adopt from shelters like SPCA instead of shopping from breeders.
