Stop Breed Discrimination and Save Pit Bulls from Extinction

The Issue

I have witnessed loving and well-behaved dogs being forcibly separated from their homes, held captive or sentenced to a brutal end they never deserved. Purely due to their breed – pit bull, they are condemned as dangerous. This injustice not just threatens the lives of thousands of innocent dogs but also pushes the breed towards the brink of extinction. Imagine the atrocity if this was inflicted on any other breed; it's equal to the unwarranted racial discrimination of the past.

Pit bulls, like any other dogs, reflect the training and the socialization provided by their owners. Let's not forget that individual dogs have different personalities and behaviors which make them unique, irrespective of their breed. To judge a pit bull's temperament based on negative stereotypes is as unjust as it is inaccurate. According to the American Temperament Test Society, 86.8% of American Pit Bull Terriers have passed their temperament testing, which is higher than the 85.2% average for other common breeds.

We must push back against this breed-based discrimination that has claimed many innocent lives. We demand a fair evaluation for each individual dog - not a judgment passed based on their breed's stereotype. End this rampant injustice before we permanently lose the beloved pit bull breed. Please sign this petition to end the indiscriminate vilification and slaughter of pit bulls, and to promote responsible dog ownership. Support this urgent call for justice.
