Bottom trawling involves dragging heavy nets across the sea floor, obliterating everything in their path. Less than a third of the marine life caught in the nets is kept and the rest is thrown back into the sea - dead or injured.

This is threatening the ocean's delicate ecosystem, causing extinction for many marine species and leading to poverty and starvation for people living in some coastal villages.

1. We must enforce a ban on bottom trawling in vulnerable and ecologically significant areas. 
2. We must expand Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) where marine life can regenerate and thrive without human intrusion.
3. We should chose to only buy seafood that it sustainability sourced (look for MSC labels).
