Stop: BOAT EVICTIONS - Waterways Ireland - Introduction of revised Canal Bye Laws 2023

The Issue

Waterways Ireland are once again trying to force residential boat owners out of their homes.
Under new proposed changes to the: Canals Act, 1986 (BYE-LAWS) they want to increase the mooring fees from 129 Euros to 3500 Euros for unserviced rural moorings.
This is not the final price as the pricing structure is set to increase on a year by year basis.

Despite what Waterways Ireland say there has been NO consultation on these proposed changes. This new pricing scheme and other proposed measures are designed to drive all residential boat owners out of their homes.
