Hello to all my wonderful followers and supporters!
As most of you know, I am now on the committee of Aotearoa Water Action who is battling these Belfast water bottling consents.
It’s all go here at AWA HQ with the High Court Appeal application for our case against ECan/Cloud Ocean/Rapaki due to be set down for hearing by 5 November (the Notice of Appeal was filed at the Court of Appeal on 5 August).
James Gardner-Hopkins (Counsel for Sustainable Otakiri in their High Court appeal against the expansion of the water bottling plant at Otakiri) has agreed to act for us on the appeal with QC Pru Steven (who acted for us on our High Court case) working as back up to James.
In order to fund the appeal we have launched a PledgeMe campaign “Operation Stop the Bottling”, with the aim to raise $55,000 by the hearing application date of 5 November - which is less than 4 weeks away!
