I am a concerned parent of a child attending Bedford Public Schools, and the ongoing relationship between our schools and Lifetouch photos has deeply troubled me. I am not alone in my concern. Many parents have approached the administrative office expressing their discomfort and dissatisfaction with the continued engagement of Lifetouch due to troubling allegations against the company and its association with activities we find unacceptable. Despite our voiced concerns, the administration has brushed off our issues as insignificant.

Allegations have surfaced regarding Lifetouch's association with individuals involved in unethical and disturbing activities, including ties to pedophiles. These are not trivial accusations and deserve to be treated with the utmost seriousness by our school administration. Allowing a company with such connections to handle our children's pictures is unacceptable to us as concerned parents.

We are calling on the Bedford Public Schools administration to reevaluate and ultimately sever its ties with Lifetouch. It is imperative that we select a reputable and ethically sound company to capture our children’s precious school memories. The safety and well-being of our children should be the top priority, and we must ensure that their images are managed by an organization that upholds the highest ethical standards.

We propose that Bedford Public Schools consider alternative photography companies that have proven track records of ethical behavior and a commitment to child safety. Numerous reputable photography services prioritize transparency and ethical business practices, ensuring the safety and integrity of the services they provide.

These necessary changes should be enacted promptly, and we, as parents, are willing to work collaboratively with the administration to find a suitable solution that respects our community's ethical standards.
