Stop Bank of America from Freezing Stroke Survivor’s Family Bank Accounts

Stop Bank of America from Freezing Stroke Survivor’s Family Bank Accounts
The Issue
50 year old family man and business owner Nathan Satter experienced a severe stroke February 8th, 2023 causing right sided weakness and aphasia.
Being a sole proprietor and the sole operator of his business means much needed funds are tucked away in business accounts.
Though wife of more than 20 years well known and loved Emergency Department nurse, Elissa, has court ordered, physician endorsed conservatorship granted by the state of Oregon, Bank of America refuses to honor this conservatorship.
Even worse, Elissa has reported that Bank of America has frozen all accounts including Nathan and Elissa’s personal joint bank account. She now has no access to fill up their car with gas, buy groceries for their two teenagers, or keep utility bills paid.
Elissa’s legal representation reports this action is illegal according to Oregon State law and is taking action.
Time is of the essence to make sure this never happens to any stroke survivor or their families. Oregon has a higher incidence of stroke than many others (barring the southeastern US).
Please sign and help advocate for Elissa and Nathan and their two teenage kids gain access to their bank accounts again!
