As a concerned member of our community, I find myself deeply worried about the potential move of Back Room Boutique to 655 Colusa Ave. This location is not just another spot in the city; it's a beloved hub for families and children who frequent the nearby park and residential areas. If this move happens, it could bring unwanted changes that affect not just the landscape of our community, but also the lives of its residents.

Our neighborhood has always been a safe and nurturing environment for kids to grow and play. With a park nearby, children and teenagers gather there daily for recreation and socializing. Allowing a boutique like this to set up shop in such close proximity could expose young, impressionable minds to influences we may not want. We must prioritize the welfare and safety of our children above all.

Moreover, there are growing concerns among residents about the impact on property values. We have worked hard to cultivate a peaceful and family-friendly community, one that parents feel good about raising their kids in. Changing the dynamics with this type of commercial establishment risks undoing years of community building and could lead to a decline in home values.

We remember the days when our neighborhood faced challenges and struggled to become the vibrant community it is today. Bringing in a boutique at this critical location might inadvertently begin to unravel this progress. It's crucial for us to act now to prevent our neighborhood from slipping back to those challenging days.

We have a chance to stand together, preserve the character of our community, and protect it for future generations of residents. Let's not wait until it's too late. Sign this petition to urge the decision-makers to reconsider allowing Back Room Boutique to move into 655 Colusa Ave. We must keep our community's best interests at heart.
