Effective January 2024 Australia Post have a proposal before the ACCC to increase the price of all postal articles delivered domestically and internationally. The increases are proposed to be effective from 2nd January 2024 and will destroy many businesses in Australia. The increases are in excess 30% with some higher than 40%. Your deliveries will be reduced to 2 working days per week. Parcels will be next. The management of Australia Post is determined to stop processing and delivering mail, the government supports this direction taking away the community obligation to deliver mail economically, efficiently and thoroughly throughout Australia. Australia Post has unhandily and secretly prepared their submission without any industry or customer feedback or input. We have to sign and submit this petition to save our mail delivery system. Mail volumes will drop, Postal workers will lose their jobs.
