Stop Attacks on Kurds and Civilians in Rojava,Protect Human Rights
The Issue
In Rojava, North-East Syria, my family, my people, and my nation are facing a crisis that intensifies with each passing day. I am reaching out to you to emphasize the grave threats that Rojava's civilians are enduring due to escalating military operations. The urgency in my appeal is not out of mere concern but out of a deep-seated connection to those enduring hardship in a region I call home.
Recent military actions have plunged Rojava into chaos. Countless families, including elderly members, women, and children, are being forced to abandon their homes in a desperate search for safety. The terrifying shelling of residential areas has led to significant displacement, creating a humanitarian crisis that disregards international humanitarian law in its brutal impacts.
The violation of human rights is rampant. With each offensive, the access to basic services, such as healthcare, education, and essential supplies, is rapidly being obliterated. Our brothers and sisters are suffering in fear, without the assurance of safety or the most fundamental necessities, amplifying their vulnerability in an already harsh environment.
We must act now to halt these heinous acts. The international community must urgently intervene to ensure a ceasefire and promote a peaceful resolution that upholds the dignity and rights of those residing in Rojava. It is imperative that humanitarian assistance is delivered swiftly and equitably to those who are suffering the most.
Hasakah and Qamishli continue to face repeated attacks and bombardment, while the city of Kobani is under a full siege from all sides.
Civilians in these areas are living under constant threat. In Kobani, the siege has trapped the population, cutting access to basic necessities and placing civilians at extreme risk. At the same time, ongoing strikes in Hasakah and Qamishli have led to the killing of innocent people and widespread fear.
These attacks and the siege constitute serious violations of human rights and international law. Civilians, especially children and the elderly, must not be targeted or collectively punished.
We call for immediate action to end the siege on Kobani, stop the attacks on Hasakah and Qamishli, and protect the lives and fundamental rights of Kurds and all civilians in Rojava.
By signing this petition, you are joining a crucial call for peace and humanitarian support. Together, we can press global leaders to notice, to act, and to protect the lives and rights of the people of Rojava. Your signature sends a message of solidarity and hope, and it contributes to the collective voice demanding change.
Let us unite in advocating for peace and protection for the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire in Rojava. This plea is a call for justice, safety, and human dignity.
Please sign this petition, and let our voices be heard.
