Stop Attacks on Essential and Civilian's Infrastructure

Stop Attacks on Essential and Civilian's Infrastructure
The issue
Civilians in Iran are facing escalating risks as critical infrastructure is reportedly being impacted in the context of military actions involving the United States and Israel. Homes, hospitals, schools, universities, bridges, historical sites, and essential public services are not merely physical structures, they are the backbone of safety, dignity, and everyday life for millions of innocent people.
When these are damaged or destroyed, the consequences go far beyond physical loss. Families are left without shelter, children are deprived of education, and entire communities are cut off from healthcare and essential services. These impacts are immediate, devastating, and long-lasting, with the heaviest burden falling on those who have no role in the conflict.
International humanitarian law is clear and unequivocal: civilians and civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times. These are not optional principles they are fundamental obligations that must be upheld by all parties, without exception.
We call on the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the International Criminal Court to:
• Take immediate and decisive action to ensure the protection of civilians in Iran
• Independently monitor, document, and transparently report any damage to civilian infrastructure
• Enforce and reinforce strict compliance with international humanitarian law by all parties involved
• Ensure accountability through appropriate legal mechanisms where credible evidence of violations exists
This is not about politics or taking sides. It is about protecting human life, preserving dignity, and ensuring that civilians are not made to bear the cost of conflict.
We urge all individuals who believe in the protection of civilians to support this petition and stand for humanity.
Sign and share to help protect lives and essential infrastructure.
