ArriveCAN is the official Government of Canada platform to provide your information when entering Canada.

Whether entering Canada by air or by land, travelers must use the ArriveCan app and submit all of the required information digitally in order to comply with the mandatory travel requirements before and after entry into Canada. 

Travelers are required to submit  their contact and travel information; their quarantine plan and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.  They must be ready to show their ArriveCAN receipt when seeking entry into Canada as, a border services officer will verify that all have submitted their information digitally.

ArriveCan was meant to be a "user-friendly digital tool" to help travelers comply with border measures, speed up the process as well as limit contact with others, however, it has proven to do the exact opposite.

Coming into Canada has become a nightmare.

Wait lines at the different borders and at the airport have never been so long.  People are confused and fed up with ArriveCan.  The average wait time at a driving border is 2 hours.  Travelers that arrive without having filled the form are sent back into the US, fill said form and get back in line.  Which in effect, delays every single waiting car.  Border officers and customs agents are short staffed and overwhelmed.

Most of the world has adapted their entry requirements yet here we remain.

It is time for Canada to adapt and stop punishing travelers for wanting to come to Canada or maybe just, come back home from a weekend away.  

Our economy needs travelers.
