Help us end the animal cruelty that’s been ongoing at Pet’s @ NE29 ‘Pet-shop’ for over 20 years!!!

After this issue was brought to the attention of North Tyneside Council, they visited the premises and deemed it ACCEPTABLE?! They won’t take this any further, so it’s more important now than ever for us to get this petition out there. They also did not respond to any of my emails. 

The owner will have assumed we’ve forgotten about this and it’s ‘Died down’ but surely it’s still on mine and everyone’s minds. Now the owners guard is down it’s a good time to go into the premises if you can and take photos for as much evidence as possible. 

The shop owner has reportedly been banned from selling rabbits due to evidence from passers by, who witnessed the owner physically MURDER two innocent rabbits. As well as this, the owner was banned from selling kittens (Pre Lucy’s law) as they were selling them far too young which caused several health problems for the poor kittens. 

The living conditions for the animals the owner currently has such as fish, birds and guinea pigs are absolutely horrendous. 

• TINY cages 
• UNCLEAN cages/Tanks
• NO INTERACTION in the cages/Tanks for the animals
• AWFUL/barely any food provided for the animals 
• FREEZING environment (The shop owner does not have heating!) These poor animals will be freezing

I took a look to see if any improvements were made as there already have been various reports sent to North Tyneside Council/Environmental Health, and the conditions I saw broke my heart. I witnessed a little guinea pig on its own, shaking (probably due to the freezing temperature of the store) with little to no food or interaction. And it’s well-known that it’s bad for their well being not having a Guinea pig friend. They shouldn’t be kept caged alone.

This person SHOULD NOT be able to sell animals ever again, nor in their own shop. 

PLEASE help by signing this petition and sharing this as much as you can. I feel ashamed that this person is doing this right on our doorstep and for many years. Enough is enough.
