Since our local bus company Stagecoach South East decided to close Folkestone bus depot. Well over 50 drivers have resigned or taken early retirement, this is obviously having a huge negative impact on Disabled (Which I am) and elderly folk alike in Hythe Folkestone Canterbury Dover and surrounding areas. 

We are being being forced to wait sometimes well over an hour for a shortish bus journey, which sadly due to my disabilities I'm unable to walk and can't really afford to pay for taxis when I am out which to be honest is not as often as I used too before all these bus cuts.

I am speaking to many local people young old alike and we are all fedup of having what was once a great bus service now we are never sure if a bus will arrive is it's meant too and go where it should do. 

This is affecting not only my health but also my mental health is being impacted because where before all of this I knew I could get a bus from home in Hythe Kent to Canterbury if I so wished but now I have to get on an overcrowded 102 in Hythe and change to a 16 in Folkestone Bus Station to get to Canterbury. This is not ideal for anyone as we don't know how long we will be waiting in Folkestone for our connecting bus.

We have built a strong group who is all affected by these bus changes and we have had enough.

This is not safe for any person to be waiting at any bus stop especially at night and buses do not arrive.

There is also the fact that the nights are drawing in and shortly our school children could be waiting at bus stops alone in the dark for a bus that may or may not show up. 

This has got too be addressed and now!! 

For the sake of our elderly disabled, vulnerable and ever single person that uses buses this had got too change and NOW!!
