Dear Supporter
Thank you for signing my petition.
Two charter flights for the purpose of mass deportations to Jamaica and Nigeria we were made aware of, have not gone ahead to the best of our knowledge.
So raising awareness and public pressure are having an impact even though the Government have disgracefully failed to give written assurance that such deportations will be halted in light of the Windrush scandal.
However I'm concerned about reports I've received that there are individuals scheduled for deportation on commercial flights including Virgin Airlines.
Some things you can do to keep up pressure are;
1. call the Home Office Press Office and ask questions about this and request written assurance.
2. Contact your local MP and ask them to write to the Home Secretary.
3. Contact Virgin Airlines and ask them to refuse to take people being deported to Commonwealth countries in their flights.

It is imperative that full justice is served for all impacted including those sadly and disgracefully already deported and that nobody should be out of pocket as a result of the scandal & people should be compensated for all losses, injury and trauma experienced.
If you or anyone you know is impacted and needs support or legal advice, including those deported or detained, whether they are of the Windrush generation or their children or grandchildren, please feel free to contact me.
The petition has close to 5000 signatures now.
Your help in getting it up to 5000 and further is appreciated.
Best Wishes
Zita
