Breaking news! Florida Inland Navigation District approves their portion of a camera study for the bridge in Stuart. Thank you Mayor Troy McDonald of Stuart. He traveled to the F.I.N.D. meeting in Miami this morning and was the sole Martin County representative present to advocate for the passage of the camera proposal to document boat traffic and bridge closure times. He has just reported the Florida Inland Navigation District unanimously passed the measure and will pay their share (Martin County to fund 50%, F.I.N.D. to pay 50%) of a year long camera study to log boat traffic and bridge closure times. This is very important data that will be factual so we can know how impacted the bridge will be from the trains. Thank you for representing us Mayor!
