Stop Ali Zarei's Execution, Guarantee Safe Passage, and Hold UN Leadership Accountable!
The Issue
Mr. António Guterres,
We, the undersigned global citizens, condemn the UN leadership’s silence and appeasement toward the Iranian regime’s execution machinery and hollow General Assembly rhetoric.
Ali Zarei, 27, political prisoner and eye-injury survivor of the 1401 "Woman, Life, Freedom" uprising, returned to Iran in May 2026 trusting official state Pezeshkian guarantees of "full security for returning Iranians".
He sentenced to death by Tehran Revolutionary Court (Branch 23) on fabricated charges of "corruption on earth (efsad-fil-arz), political activities, false news, and illegal entry/exit". Currently held in Qezelhessar Prison solitary confinement, subjected daily to mock execution drills and psychological torture.
NON-NEGOTIABLE DEMANDS
1. Immediate annulment of Ali Zarei’s death sentence.
2. Safe, monitored evacuation of Ali Zarei out of Iran.
3. End UN complicity and appeasement of the regime's atrocities.
GLOBAL ACCOUNTABILITY WARNING
