I've recently read that AI companies like ISBNdb are collecting pre 2022 books in bulk and cutting them up in order to train AI. They're doing this because if the AI is trained on paragraphs from other chat bots, than they risk having the model collapse. So they cut up the book in order to scan the pages faster. Are we just going to sit here and watch AI companies commit another attrosity or are we going to do something about it?
