Hello all.

1_ We are making a submission to the state Auditor General regarding the the long list of issues of serious abuse of process associated with this project, especially since this government was elected, and would like to get as many signatures as possible. There is very obviously something seriously wrong with a process that has delivered such a bizarre and destructive result.
The Auditor General's last report in 2017 was withering, and matters have got worse.

2_ If you would like to add your signature, please, everyone and anyone, email in your name as soon as possible. If you have any titles or rewards, it is useful to our cause to include those. We would love to get a good number of names!
Please note that we will not publish names apart from including them in the submission.

Here is the submission to go to the Auditor General.

And as a reminder, here is our compilation of many of those issues.

3_ If you simply want to send the Auditor General a simple statement that says something is very seriously wrong with this process and itemise one or two issues, eg: the effectively complete lack of public consultation, the fact that the promised open plaza has instead become a huge tower, that public land has been given to a private corporation for 100 years for $1 a year, that this is giant CBD buildings being put onto Park Land for no rational reason etc, you can email it to:
audgensa@audit.sa.gov.au
Numbers count after all!

And as to the premier's claims of a mandate: we have not found the slightest desire in the community for a building of that type in that place, and it would seem that up to 50% of people still do not even know about it.

4_ For your information, we are contacting as many members of the cross bench, or independents, in the federal parliament as possible, because the decision about the ATO's fit out made by the Tony Zappia chaired Parliamentary Public Works Committee goes first to both houses of Parliament, and then needs to be passed in the House.
As the move has, on the one hand, been officially announced to ATO employees but has, what would appear to be, unacceptable cost arguments against it, this will be a very interesting test of the integrity of federal Labor!

Other:
Our second digital petition, No Plaza Tax Tower-  please sign - and if you are concerned you are doubling up, the software will tell you!

The Stop the Chop hard copy petition, is here, which includes Festival Plaza.
Now has over 28,000 signatures - excellent - and the end date has been extended to 14th August (so for main delivery, they would have to be in the mail by August 7).
