Following the outstanding group effort of 120 submissions made in two days against The Australian Tax Office's proposed fit out and tenancy in Walker Tower 2, three of us are flying to Melbourne to present to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works on Wednesday morning at the Mantra Hotel, Russell St City.
Above, me with Geoff Hayter, land economist, Mat Monti President of the Parklands Association, and our redoubtable supporter Senator Barbara Pocock at the recent Gathering at the Tax Office in Franklin St.
We are very grateful that we have generously been offered accomodation in Melbourne by two of our supporters, which is an enormous boost and a very big help costs-wise.
However we are flying at our own expense so any help we could get with those costs would be hugely appreciated.
Added to this we have one lingering FOI expense we badly need to cover.

Our second digital petition, No Plaza Tax Tower- needs a major boost, we are about to devote a lot of attention to it. Please sign as soon as you can, if you have not. Remember that donations go to the Change.org algorithm, not to us.
If you haven't downloaded it, the Stop the Chop hard copy petition is linked here. We need 10,000 signatures! Please note the framing of the petition includes Festival Plaza:
We, the undersigned South Australian community, express our collective and growing concern at the State Government’s continued legislated takeover of the Adelaide Park Lands to enable unprecedented and inappropriate development such as Festival Plaza, the North Adelaide Golf Course, and MotoGP.

We are all working together, in our different ways, to get honest and open government, though at this point it's a far distant goal!
