A brief update:
We have a website up and running at SaveFestivalPlaza.net. We aim to keep it fresh.

We have met with Barbara Pocock and she is very supportive. She has written to Minister Watt who as Minister for the Environment is responsible for cultural heritage. She will also be engaging with Sarah Hanson-Young and they will be asking questions on our behalf at a national level, as our parliament is National Heritage.

In particular she will be seeking clarity around the status of the project from a heritage protection approval point of view. We are questioning the situation where the developer must notify the Federal Department, but beyond that point can self-assess! We have been in this position for four or so months.

We are engaging with local and national media. and are hopeful of activity in this space.
