This petition was started after my own personal experience of being unfairly pursued by a private parking company. Despite presenting clear evidence of tenancy rights, disability considerations, and flawed legal claims, the case was aggressively pushed toward court.
Dame Angela Eagle MP has personally intervened in my case, writing to the property management company and the Solicitors acting on behalf of the parking company, on my behalf.
Her involvement reflects just how serious and unjust this issue has become.
This petition is not just about my story it’s about the thousands of people across the UK being intimidated, harassed, and legally pressured by companies who have no place using the court system in this way. Enough is enough.

Subject: Urgent Call for Reform - Private Parking Companies Must Be Held Accountable
Dear [Insert Recipient Name],
I am writing to support the public petition launched by Justice for Drivers UK, which demands urgent legal reform to regulate or abolish private parking enforcement companies across the UK.
The petition highlights serious and ongoing abuses by companies such as UK Car Park Management Ltd, including:
- Misuse of the County Court system to intimidate people with inflated claims.
- DVLA data access with no public transparency or accountability
- Repeated violations of tenancy, medical, and disability rights
- Automated letters issued at antisocial hours to pressure payment
- Lack of landowner authority or fair signage in many locations
These companies operate with minimal oversight, exploiting civil law and leaving people powerless, often without legal representation.
This is not a parking issue - it is a systemic failure of consumer justice.
I am asking you to take this issue seriously and act now by:
- Supporting the Justice for Drivers Act - a call for proper regulation, fines, and court access reform
- Investigating the role of the DVLA in allowing unchecked access to driver data.
- Protecting tenants, carers, and vulnerable people from unfair private enforcement
