This petition serves as a request for the United States government to cease invasive surveillance methods of immigrants because of the following reasons:

• Constantly being watched is fearsome towards immigrants, and produces negative mental health outcomes, as well as feeling dehumanized.
• There are proven ways to deal with immigrant naturalization that are much more beneficial to communities and for immigrants attempting to enter the U.S.
• In the digital age, the issue of data control is very much a problem. Every day, in the light or not, services are breached and documents exposed. What happens with all of the location and other quantitative data that governments get from these programs when their storage mechanism is breached or documents exposed via other means?
