 Cruelty against animals is a crime!

One of the social issues in the Philippines is cruelty toward animals. According to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), the total estimated number of stray pets in the Philippines in 2019 is 12 million. Thinking about how many dogs and cats are being thrown out into the streets is not acceptable. Millions of stray pets are being abused and neglected, and inhumane behavior toward stray pets is one of the common problems that is happening right now. Some irresponsible owners are throwing, abusing, and killing their pets due to financial, physical, emotional, and, of course, lack of education in terms of animal welfare. Hundreds, thousands, and millions of stray pets and animals are being killed because of the inhumanity of the people. Stop using animals for our own benefit; they are not a subject; they feel pain too.

Animals have feelings too. Join the PAWSsion Project to secure and rescue homeless stray animals and pets. PAWSsion is a project that was made by PAWS, a volunteer-based non-government organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abused and neglected animals.

Help us protect and rescue animals. This petition is to encourage people to stand against animal cruelty. I encourage you to be part of this concern, save animals' lives, and let's all protect animals. Be their defender, not their attacker; be a protector, not a detractor. Animals can’t speak for themselves, so lend them your voice. Animals are voiceless in our society, so be their voice.

Main goals of our petition;

• Stand against animal abuse and neglect. Be their voice.
• Rescue, shelter, and defend stray pets/animals.
• If you see or know someone abusing an animal report it to your local police or animal agency that stands against animal cruelty.
