On October 26th, my 10 year old daughter, myself and our 5yr old fur baby , Gibbles walked outside, into our yard, to let Gibbles go potty and to get in the car to take my daughter to school...As we do every morning.  

My nieghbor, directly across from us, has a 2yr old , very aggressive, very Massively large pit bill. 

I'll give you a little back ground.... this pitbull, was trained to fight... was adopted by My neighbor . She thought she could save him, change him. She couldn't.  

She is very small and the pit drags HER around . She has never had control of her dog.  

This pit , on several occasions , has not been leashed, and their gate is always left wide open. This pit, 

Who had already came onto MY property once before( due to not being on a leash and my neighbor leaving the gate open). The pit came charging at my child, foaming at the mouth to attack her... if it weren't for another neighbor , literally jumping on top of the dog to stop him .... he would've attacked and probably killed my little girl. 

This pit, has already killed other animals.. and now he's killed our family's sweet, loving , five pound maltipoo ,Gibbles.. she was viciously killed.  

Like I mentioned before, this pit was trained to fight. Trained to kill. 

Knowing this.... my irresponsible neighbor, came outside her house. With the Pitbull... NOT ON A LEASH AND HAD HER GATE WIDE OPEN. AGAIN. 

The second that monster saw us... he came CHARGING, full speed ahead, straight for my daughter , AGAIN , who was standing next to her baby , Gibbles.  

I ran as fast as I could towards them and pushed my daughter out of the way. I went to grab our dog.... but the pitbull was faster than me. He grabbed Gibbles AND my hand. He had us both in his mouth ,and he then drug us all over my yard, shaking his head, smashing us into the ground over and over , pulling us into a ditch . It took me , the monsters owner, who finally ran over, and another neighbor, a grown man , to finally get the pit to release. He dropped my dog and then again bit me. Until the man picked the dog up from behind and the pit finally released.  

I ran after my pup, who was covered in blood and she was barely breathing... I picked her up, to find that every bone inside of her was crushed.... my daughter and i jumped in the car and rushed her to the vet hospital.... but it was too late. She died in my arms on the way to the hospital. She had sustained too many injuries and there was nothing the vet could do to save her. 

The worst part... is my daughter, my 10 year old , who has had Gibbles since she was just born... for the past 5 years, her very best friend in the entire world.... had to watch this monster rip her baby to shreds right in front of her. And then attack her mother.  

My daughter has slept w Gibbles in her arms, every night for 5 years, has taken this pup everywhere w her for 5 years, had plans of making years and years of more memories with Gibbles.... and she was robbed of that. She will never get to see her best friend again. 

All because my neighbor was careless and irresponsible. This could've been avoided. And she had and still has ZERO remorse.  

Animal Control took the dog that day to put him in quarantine for 10 days. Well now the 10 days is over and she is fighting to get her dog back. The animal control manager told me that because I was not disfigured or killed that they cannot put him down and won't put him down just because he has killed other animals. The fact that he had killed other animals didn't matter to him at all!!

So they are forcing me to live across the street from this irresponsible dog owner and her monster. And live in fear every single time we walk out of our front door. I can't even let my daughter play in the front yard anymore because this monster will be right there... waiting until the next time , he's free to attack. I do not ,under any circumstance think that this is fair. It's not a question of IF this monster will kill again....it's a question of WHEN!! And next time it could be my daughter. Or another child. Or an elderly person walking by. It could be anyone. I do not think this dog should ever come home again. I think that he needs to be put down because he is a trained killer he's killed before and he will kill again.

Please help us prevent this from Happening to someone else.... so nobody else has to go through the pain we are going through now... please help us save a child from being attacked or possibly killed.
