This is Nick DeSalvo, Student Body President. As you may have heard last week, President Parsons announced that were almost certainly be a tuition increase for the 2024-2025 academic year. Currently, the projections are for a 3% increase for in-state students and a 4% increase for out-of-state students. 

To provide the student body with a better understanding of the University budget and the role that the state legislature plays in funding higher education, we are hosting a Tuition Town Hall this Friday, April 12th from 2:00-3:00 pm in the Senate chambers. 

We will be joined by VP of University Operations Brendan Hanlon, who works closely with the University budget. 

VP Hanlon will give a presentation of the current budget, followed by moderated questions about higher education funding and the event will close with audience questions.
