Please help us inform Postmasters and the Inspector General of USPS that our rights are being violated by 1st Amendment Auditors who purposely misinterpret USPS's Poster 7 by signing our petition.

These individuals go from post office to post office with their cameras and harass USPS employees and customers just to get a reaction for content, clicks and views. They also will monetize their videos to profit from them. They claim that have a 1st Amendment right to record anywhere, anything and anyone at a USPS branch while purposely disregarding USPS rules and regulations. They believe that USPS property is Federal property, which it is not. USPS is a private company that is Federally protected by an act of Congress, just like a few private defense contractor companies. USPS is NOT funded by tax payers and the employees who work for USPS are NOT federal employees.

We as customers of USPS are sick and tired of being harassed by these individuals. We need all USPS employees to be better trained on USPS Rules and Regulations, ie Poster 7. Not only for our safety but for theirs as well.

"We also request that once the employees have been trained on the exacts of poster 7 to provide better customer service and safety, that they be provided an accurate and proper description of the infraction to give to the police, so that the rules may be enforced as they are written."

The only other thing that bothers us is that many of these frauds carry a weapon onto the premises. That's a federal crime. From poster 7 "Notwithstanding any other law, rule, or regulation, no person while on Postal Service property may carry firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed, or store the same on Postal Service property, except for official purposes."
