Keep NRH lovely. Save the trees on Davis

Keep NRH lovely. Save the trees on Davis
The Issue
Dear Neighbor,
One of the few wooded areas remaining within city lines is about to be leveled. Not cleared with thoughtful discretion to place several homes nestled among the trees, but rather completely leveled for small single family and town homes packed onto zero lot lines. 95 of them. Along with the obvious loss in aesthetics, traffic noise from Davis will be less abated. Wildlife will be chased from their homes and into our neighborhoods. Our quiet neighborhood streets will be the right of way for construction traffic now, not to mention the permanently added traffic (or joy, more traffic lights) entering and exiting a 7 lane and curved thoroughfare.
This quarter mile from a little south of Rumsfeld to Odell, now a refreshing wooded corridor, will never be the same. North Richland Hills will never be the same. All for a few extra bucks in the city coffers. This would be, to say the least, a very, very clumsy approval, one that I think will be quickly regretted. North Richland Hills has a small town feel. I hope others join me in trying at least to dampen such a rude destruction of one of our few remaining natural areas.
Thank you!
