Stone Ocean Animation Redraws (True Blu-Ray Corrections)
The Issue
While on a first watch-through the animation of Stone Ocean is serviceable enough. Most fans tend to rewatch the series multiple times, and thus the quality, or lack thereof becomes more noticeable especially compared to previous parts. Before the Stone Ocean season the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime felt like something that could be passed on for generations because of how good their finalized products were.
In previous Jojo's Bizarre Adventure seasons, after airing the they got massive Blu-Ray improvements. Usually it was frame redraws but sometimes it was completely redone animation, or added animation to what were still frames.
There are many scenes in Stone Ocean which do not need redraws or added animation, but there are just as many which do.
The compositing and lighting could also be touched up a bit along with the animation fixes.
Series directors Kenichi Suzuki and Toshiyuki Kato have made a wonderful basis for a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean adaptation. And it truly feels like Jojo, however, regarding the art for 50% of the time, it just lacks polish.
The producers should have given the staff way more time to work on the episodes, and practically owe a public apology to the series directors.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is the series that made David Productions popular. And many of us fans felt that the the staff making Stone Ocean should have been given more respect by the studio itself and Warner Bros.
However, Stone Ocean can still be saved. Animation fix-ups even after the Blu-Rays are released are not unheard of. For example, 7 Deadly Sins partially fixed their horrid animation for their Netflix release.

However, I would prefer if they just released the Blu-Rays again with improved animation, for maximum quality.
Dear David Productions, prove to us that what happened to the Stone Ocean anime, was just a one-off accident caused by multiple production issues, and that the quality of the rest of the series going forward will be better.
