Ban Unleashed events from putting on Stockport Comicon

The Issue

The organizer of these events Lee Norroway shouldn't be allowed to put on events working with families and children. We want the council to step in and make sure Unleashed events never puts another Stockport comicon on again.

WHY? here's why:

Nurse struck off by panel after guilty verdict

A MENTAL health nurse who struck up a relationship with a vulnerable teenage patient has been kicked out of the profession.

A MENTAL health nurse who struck up a relationship with a vulnerable teenage patient has been kicked out of the profession.

Former Stockton borough councillor Lee Narroway kissed and touched the 17-year-old and planned to have sex with her at the Teesside unit where he worked as a staff nurse.

A Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing was also told the girl changed her T-shirt in front of him after she spilt a drink down herself. He then touched her private parts and showed her his.

The pair continued their relationship and Narroway switched his shifts so he could spend more time with her.

The girl had a history of suicidal behaviour and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder due to physical and emotional distress when she was younger.

Narroway was sacked from the hospital after she reported him to a nursing assistant.

The NMC also heard Narroway was convicted of assault in February 2009 for fracturing his then girlfriend’s arm for which he given a suspended prison sentence.

The former councillor for Ingleby Barwick was also cautioned in 2007 for common assault on a woman at his home but failed to inform his employer Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust.

He had denied all the charges against him, claiming the patient was manipulative and “no angel”.

But the NMC panel found him guilty of misconduct and yesterday ruled he should be struck off.

As reported, the 37-year-old former leader of the Ingleby Barwick Independent Society (IBIS), pleaded guilty to assaulting ex-partner Fiona Byrne and causing actual bodily harm at his home in Ingleby Barwick.

Ms Byrne’s arm was broken in the incident and Mr Narroway received a 26-week jail sentence, suspended for two years.
