Venue restrictions/ capping, ban on singing/ dancing continue - Covid passports being introduced

Thank you so very much to every one of the 1,956 people whom have taken the time to sign, share, donate, mention or forward 'Save our stages 2021' petition.  A huge thank you to beautiful Holly Thomas - my dear musician friend in Melbourne , for her shout out on Facebook when she is doing it so tough herself. Huge thanks also to Jason Makarenko for inviting me to join him, to speak with David Pemberthy and Will on 5AA , on Tuesday morning, 31st August. 

Two hours ago, the Adelaide Now news announced that 'Bird in hand' winery - a venue where I have played many wedding gigs- is implementing Covid certificates of mandatory double vaccination, to staff and those in attendance.  It is one of the first major Adelaide Hills Wineries to implement this approach.  Not only have the 75% capacity rule at venues, ban on singing and dancing , mandatory mask wearing NOT been eased, this now comes into play. Once again, live music venues, small businesses and hospitality are the true casualties in this equation, Steven Marshall.  Why has there been no consultation with the relative industry that is already being decimated, and small business owners expected to implement this strategy?  While it is little consolation, at least the football is being included in this approach in Scotland, by Nicola Sturgeon.  I wonder, will the same apply here?

While I am so very grateful to each and every one of you whom has taken the time to acknowledge and support 'Save our SA stages 2021, it takes THOUSANDS of signatures for our collective voice to be heard.      I also have a hard copy Save our SA stages 2021 petition running concurrently, for presentation at both State and Federal level.
