Radio silence from Premier Steven Marshall about Save our SA stages 2021 petition

Hi everyone. My utmost gratitude to every one of you whom have taken the time to sign/share/donate/mention 'Save our SA stages 2021'. As I was bluntly told on radio last Wednesday , " you have an uphill battle ahead of you."  Yes, it is - but it is worth it.  So far we have 608 signatures, which is a brilliant start. 

Please continue to sign and share widely.

As a courtesy, I have contacted Steven Marshall about this petition. Not surprisingly, I have not received any response. Hopefully Alex Lahey ( Tones and I ) will have more luck with her open letter to Scott Morrison. 

As well as me being asked on air ," isn't there something else that you can do ?" ( as my chosen profession), the lack of response underlines just how little regard there is for our self-employed musicians and related industry crew. This can also be said for our venues . While I feel for all of the  industries whom are being hard hit , due to COVID, there is huge fallout from the tourism and hospitality industries being decimated , which is simply not mentioned at all-  gigs and events being cancelled at short notice, which is now even further complicated by mandatory mask wearing at venues/ events. I am not whinging - merely stating that masks do make people think twice about going out - especially when they have to wear them all day at work. We have an amazing collective of talented musicians in South Australia.  Please let our collective voice be heard - loud and clear. Save our SA stages.
