Petition for Woodbridge Senior High School class of 2020 to have their graduation

The Issue

The Woodbridge Senior High School Class of 2020 has waited for all of their hard work to pay off, after having attended school for almost 13 years. Graduation is more than just receiving a diploma, it's a ceremony that commemorates and celebrates the student's accomplishments and rewards them for enduring all the hardships and stress they were put under. Everyone deserves the chance to be celebrated and recognized for their dedication and hard work.

We've waited for this moment for many years only to wake up to a Twitter post declaring that our senior year has come to an abrupt end. We weren't able to have our last goodbyes with our classmates or our favorite teachers and staff members. We won't even be able to have a senior prom, one of the most anticipated nights of our senior career. All of this has been stripped away of us on that unforgettable Monday morning. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience these important and memorable high school moments, at the very least a graduation.

Graduation proved as a main motivator for many students to continue to work hard in all their classes and extracurriculars the school offered, as they tried to make countless memories they could hold onto forever. Many students in the class of 2020 would be the first to graduate in their family, and now they won't even get to walk across that stage and get the recognition they deserve. Nor will their family's be able to properly celebrate their outstanding accomplishments they made throughout their high school career. Every parent and/or family members deserve to be apart of this experience.

The Woodbridge Senior High School Class of 2020 is asking you to support us in our endeavor to recognize the Class 2020.
